If you close your eyes and think about Socrates, Aristotle, Plato, Archimedes, Pythagoras, Euclid, Aristocrats, Theosophists what would our situation be if these names did not exist in history? Zeus, Aphrodite, Hades, Poseidon, Aries, Athena! Without these fairy tales? True, if only Greece were removed from the history of the world, a huge void would be created.

Despite the current inflation, unemployment and economic crisis, Greece was once the most developed civilization in history. Greece was the birthplace of European science and philosophy.

There is no shortage of places of interest in Greece, which has gone through many ups and downs in its history. There are 18 UNESCO recognized World Heritage Sites. Today there is a description of the five best world heritage sites in Greece in the realm of knowledge.

The Acropolis

The Acropolis can be called the mirror of the Tower Clock, the Colosseum in Rome, the Eiffel Tower in Paris and the Athens in Greece. It is not known exactly who built this acropolis in the heart of the Greek capital, Athens. But there is no doubt that it was a very ancient and sacred place. Here you will find the temples of the goddess Athena, the Parthenians, the Erathenians… there are also many more to see.

The gods living on Mount Olympus can understand just how revered they were on earth, how strong the religion of ancient Greece was, through the various temples inside the Acropolis.

Another great appeal of The Acropolis is with this architecture. Going beyond the Roman conception of Western Europe, the inhabitants of ancient Greece built a completely different structure in Eastern Europe. Which has been an inspiration to countless architects over the centuries.

Rhodes:

Rhodes is the name of an entire city, named after The Colossus of Rhodes, built in memory of the Greek mythological sun god Helius. Although the ancient architecture is no more, the town is still named Rhodes in honor of Helius. In 1986, UNESCO recognized the city as a World Heritage Site.

Although located in Greece, the city represents two completely different periods. The city of Rhodes is divided into highlands and lowlands. In the middle of it you will find a taste of the Gothic period i.e. the beginning of the sixteenth century. And when you come to the lowlands, you will get the impression of Ottoman rule. It is impossible for you to leave out such a place on Greek soil.

Old City of Curfew:

Albania on the other side of the sea. One country with different continents and different cultures. Greece, on the other hand, is a mighty world. Built in the 8th century, the city was said to be the main sea trade route at that time. At that time, the security of this commercial city was in the hands of famous Vietnamese architects, a total of three forts were placed by the rulers of ancient Greece. Founded in the 8th century, the city has survived to this day, leaving its original structure intact.

If you visit this commercial city in the Mediterranean region, you will see the houses of the Neolithic age. You will see the aristocracy of ancient Greece. However, despite being an ancient city, UNESCO's recognition of the city is a little over a decade old.

Delphi of Central Greece:

The ruins of this temple, built for the god Apollo on the top of Mount Parnassus, are another remarkable example of the real influence of Greek mythology. It is said that the Greeks were incomparable in receiving and carrying out prophecies. And this Delphi in honor of Apollo is a shining proof of that.

According to ancient Greek mythology, it was the center of the novel. It was added to the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites in 1986, along with all other temples in Athena and Acropolis.
